In 2002, E-Drive Technology, Ltd. decided to leverage its 15 years of expertise in the commercial fleet management sector and extend its engineering and design capabilities to address the growing worldwide market for personal vehicle management services.
As one of the original entrants in the telematics field,

E-DT, through its subsidiary Road Track, SA, established a joint operating agreement with General Motors to produce and install the vehicle security service known as ChevyStar™ in all cars manufactured in Ecuador.
As part of this process E-DT and Road Track, SA secured its ISO – 9002 and QS 9000 certifications.
Since the establishment of that initial and successful joint operating agreement in 2002, E-DT and its OEM partner have expanded their vehicle telematics and automotive solutions operating agreement to include several other countries in Latin America.
Automotive manufacturers around the world have been eager to enter this growing market as a mean of further differentiating their cars and brands and meeting their customers’ needs.
E-DT works closely with its OEM and aftermarket partners to deliver a flexible and cost - effective vehicle telematics solution that complements the market value and feature functionality of the automobile.
